● 7th January, What are you up to this Australia Day? Well pack up the kids and come out to the track and join in the fun and festivities. Thanks to Clarence Valley Council who are suppling us with a few snags, Maclean Dirt Bike Club will be Celebrating Australia Day with a FREE BBQ lunch and fun and games for the kids. ● 6th January, Things just keep on getting better at Maclean Dirt Bike Club with a full page feature in this months Dirt Action magazine. Pop down to your local newsagent and grab the February 2010 issue to read all about us! Thanks Dirt Action.

● 2nd January, Happy New Year from Maclean Dirt Bike Club. As promised the exciting news regarding MDBC is the successful grant application to build a disabled toilet with a baby change table at the track.

It has taken a dedicated team of volunteers weeks if not months to draw up and submit plans to council and apply to the NSW Governments 'Community Building Partnerships Program'.

All these efforts have now paid off and construction will begin shortly. This of course tops off a great year at Maclean Dirt Bike Club with other successful grants applied for and received. Daily Examiner Sponsorship, Clarence Valley Council Events Sponsorship and Volunteer Grants funding to purchase a new generator and safety vests.

Hope you all have great success in 2010 and we hope to see you all at Maclean again this year!

As from the 1st August 2009, a junior rider will NOT be permitted to ride a 125cc/150cc 2 stroke or 250cc 4 stroke machine without an endorsed MA license. It is not enough to have the coaching hours recorded in your log book. You MUST send a copy of your log book with the license endorsement application form to MNSW for verification. Don’t forget that the turnaround time for license return can be 14 days so get your applications in early.

The Maclean Dirt Bike Club will conduct 6 Club Championship rounds of motocross in 2010. We cater for all riders from 50cc 4yo through to Open Age. New riders are always welcome to come out on race days and watch before trying their own hand at the thrill that is Motocross. Maclean Dirt Bike Club also hosts a round of the North Coast MX series which is an incorporated 5 club event. Maclean Motorcycle Park has excellent spectator viewing, canteen and toilet facilities. Plus we have huge parking and pits area. Club and Committee meetings are held each month at the Maclean Bowling club. All members are welcome to come along and get involved, it's always good to get more input on topics from club members rather than just the committee. Race Day Schedule. All Club Championship rounds start with Sign-on (under score tower) and Scruitineering (Pit Entry) at 7:00am sharp. Riders Briefing is at 8:30am in front of score tower. All riders must attend. Practice starts at 9:00am with Round 1 starting ASAP after practice. All riders have 3 Rounds of racing with overall top 3 riders receiving ribbons at the end of the day at presentation. Flag marshalling is compulsory for every rider. A lucky flag marshal draw of $50 will be drawn at the start of presentation. Winner must be present or $50 will jackpot. Riding of motocross bikes anywhere other than the track (eg, pits, paddock and car park) is not allowed.
